Police hunt for person clogging Sheboygan’s toilets, causing thousands in damages

Police in the US state of Wisconsin are hunting a mysterious toilet clogger, accused of blocking a Shebogan dunny dozens of times.

The Sheboygan Police Department posted a warning reminding people not to flush their rubbish down the dunny to their Facebook page on Wednesday.

“I know what you’re thinking at this moment,” a police spokesperson said.

“‘Why is the Police Department telling us not to put trash in the toilet?’

“Well…I’ll tell you why.

“Over the past year-and-a-half, someone has been clogging the women’s toilet at the Deland Community Center with a 20 ounce soda bottle.

“Why do this?

“I do not know, but if you help us find the person, I will tell you.

“This is very strange… and gross, but that is the reality of life.”

Sounds like an officer is at the end to their tether, tired of being made a fool of by their arch nemesis.

According to police intel, it doesn’t appear to be an accident.

The Facebook post made it clear someone was jamming the bottle into the pipes on purpose.

And Sheboygan, which you may remember as being a strong fanbase for John Candy’s character in Home Alone, has had enough. 

The clogger has caused thousands of dollars in repair and labour costs.

From what the city’s parks and forestry superintendent Joe Kerlin told local journo McLean Bennett at the Seyboygan Press, the whole ordeal sounds like a nightmare.

“A lot of times we can just fish ‘em out,” he said.

But other times, the whole damn toilet had to be taken out.

They reckon the damage bill could be at around $3800.

Kerlin estimates the culprit hit the loos at least two dozen times in the past two years.

So far, three cases have been reported  this year.

Police called for witnesses to come forward, giving the option for anonymous reporting via a Crime Stoppers hotline.
