What do you do if the most powerful man in the world gets your name wrong?

You could take the meek option of changing your name to avoid that awkward correction.

Or you can take the ballsy option of changing your name to draw attention to the awkward moment.

That's what Apple CEO Tim Cook has done.

Yesterday the high-powered tech boss was at a meeting at the White House with President Donald Trump.

Mr Cook kept his poker face as the president turned to him and got his name wrong in the most head-scratching way.

"People like Tim, you’re expanding all over and doing things that I really wanted you to do right from the beginning. I used to say, ‘Tim, you gotta start doing it here,’ and you really have you’ve really put a big investment in our country," the president said.

"We really appreciate it very much, Tim Apple."

The president perhaps thought that Apple was named after its CEO.

It makes sense if you're a narcissist. After all, President Trump's company is named after himself.

It's also not unprecedented. In March last year, Mr Trump described the CEO of Lockheed Martin, Marillyn Hewson, as "Marillyn Lockheed".

Tim Cook responded today in the best way, changing his Twitter name to Tim with an emoji apple.

That's how you do it.
