This deconstructed Vegemite toast is beyond ridiculous

Can we spend a moment talking about the issues around ordering a couple of slices of toast at a café?
Eggs Benedict or ricotta hotcakes – now they are valid choices to go out and pay for, because they take some effort to make.
But toast?

It's essentially stumping up for the laziest possible breakfast option. You might as well order a bowl of cereal.
Which is why we couldn't help but be outraged at one Newcastle café's act of peak hipsterdom.
Core Espresso is charging $7 for two slices of toast on a wooden platter, served beside a scoop of butter and a dollop of Vegemite smeared beside it.
Seven dollars for toast that hasn't even been buttered. Seven dollars for the staff at the Core Espresso to say: ‘Here's the ingredients, sort it out for yourself’.
When did Newcastle get so pretentious?
Curiously, a lot of the other stuff they serve at Core Espresso looks like it's worth paying for:
But anyone who orders the toast should be taken outside and told they are no longer allowed to manage their own finances.
Why can't these people just eat toast like a regular person - leaning over the sink in those fleeting few seconds before you have to leave for work.
