Massive tarantula climbs up a cyclist's leg during a trail ride in Brazil

Those skin-tight, uncomfortably-revealing suits have some huge benefits.

And, aside from their aerodynamic properties, they keep massive tarantulas from climbing up your shorts.

Why, just imagine how much worse this video would have been if old mate was wearing a pair of flowy culottes.

What you’re looking at here happened on the side of a dirt road in the northeast region of Brazil.

A bunch of mates went out for a pedal on a trail ride, thinking it would a be good idea to take in the serenity of nautre.

As it turns out, nature is a cruel mistress.

They’d pulled up to look at a whopping bloody beast of a tarantula, who decided to climb up a cyclist’s leg.

And say what you want about lycra being “tight” and “mentally scarring”, but it certainly saved the day here.
