VIDEO: Sports Illustrated swimsuit finalist's audition blooper reel is gold

We're all aware of the Sports Illustrated cover girls.

They're fit, they're fabulous and they're making money from wearing a pair of swimmers.

Not a bad way to earn a crust.

But as most of the models who grace the covers of the iconic magazine are pros, the publication wanted everyday women to give it a crack.

In March, the magazine sent out an open casting call, challenging aspiring models to put together a 60-second Instagram video to show everyone why they deserved to be the next cover girl.

"Personality is paramount," the brief said.

"And while fresh, beautiful faces are a must, we are also looking for diversity in both size and ethnicity."

This week the top six finalists were announced and they're all great.

But we reckon the outtakes for contestant Allie Ayers are what's really worth looking at.

Ayers' posted a blooper reel from her filming efforts on her YouTube account and it's gold.

With lines like "just showing my boobs off in another park" it's charming, funny look at how glam photos and videos are produced.

Because as smokin' hot as some bikini shots can be, there would be a lot of awkward LOLworthy moments behind the scenes.

And it all paid off for Ayers, who made the top six:

She'll appear in the pages of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2018, and will be in the running to take a place as an Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2019 rookie.
