VIDEO: Sky News journo said the worst possible thing instead of "labour" on air

This has to be the mother of all accidental slip ups.

That time you called your teacher "mum"?

That's got nothing on the shame poor Sky News journo Sophy Ridge had to put up with after this absolute clanger of a cock up yesterday.

She was introducing Kezia Dugdale, the Leader of the Scottish Labour party when she said something that wasn't "labour".

It sounded kind of like "labour", but mostly sounded like a certain anatomical feature of a female.

Yep.

She just said that.

And check out Dugdale's steely response, as she was determined not to let the set explode into a fit of giggle like a bunch of school kids at big lunch.

The footage has since gone viral – obviously – with Twitter absolutely loving it.

“It is my duty to inform you that Sky News just introduced Kezia Dugdale as the leader of Scottish labia," @JamieRoss7 said.

"After this clip, 'Scottish Labia' will be the party on everybody's lips," @Richard_Lamond chimed in.

To her credit, Ridge carried on like a true trooper, and saw the funny side of whole thing:

And while she looked completely unimpressed, Dugdale had a sense of humour about the whole debacle afterwards:

She even retweeted this chime:

Good on you ladies, for showing you can be professional and laugh at body part jokes.
