The series stars Jerry Seinfeld as a fictionalised version of himself, and follows his journey alongside three of his friends: George Costanza (Jason Alexander), former girlfriend Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and his neighbour from across the hall, Kramer (Michael Richards).
