Kate Winslet's shock reaction to eating a worm on Running Wild with Bear Grylls

Bear Grylls is best known for trying to survive in the wild on his own, but on his spin-off TV show Running Wild with Bear Grylls, the British survival instructor takes some of the world's biggest A-list stars on an incredible — but at times shocking — adventure in the great outdoors.

Season 2 is currently available to stream for free on 9Now, and includes experiences with some of the big names including Kate Winslet, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Hudson and even former US president Barack Obama. Here's a sneak peek at what you can expect.

Kate Winslet eats a worm

It's likely not her most glamorous moment. Bear Grylls prepares a feast for the pair: trout and a worm. To Winslet's credit, she doesn't shy away from tasting the worm, but is quick to show just how much she's hating it.

"That's horrible… I'm sure that's what chewing burnt electricity wire probably tastes like," she said.

Kate Hudson gets shocked by Bear Grylls stunt

You thought they would just meet up on land? You thought wrong. This is TV we're talking about. Hence, Kate Hudson is stranded in a cable car only to have Bear Grylls launch from a helicopter above and let himself in through the roof.

It's certainly the way I would want to be greeted by Bear Grylls, but is Hudson a fan of his flashy entrance? Watch the full clip below to see her reaction.

Barack Obama talks global warming

It's not all stunts and eating gross food. Sometimes Running Wild with Bear Grylls can get very real. And of course, it's something we would almost expect when former US president Barack Obama ventures into the wild.

"One of the main purposes of our trips here is to highlight the effect of climate change and what's happening to the planet. People need to see it and feel it as opposed to just reading a bunch of numbers on a page," said Obama.

He went on to speak of his children and preserving the environment for future generations. See more of what he had to say in the clip below.
