Ball girl somehow manages to avoid being taken out by Rafael Nadal’s backhand

Now that was a close one.

A ball girl has demonstrated her lightning fast reflexes in the Australian Open after coming within centimetres of being taken out by a backhand from Raphael Nadal.

Standing back from the court, the ball girl seemed to be out of the line of fire.

But when you’re dealing with a world champion, you should always be on your game.

And thankfully this girl was, instinctively dodging a tennis ball pelting right at her head.

This is a guy whose serves have been clocked at more than 200kmph, so you want to believe that would have left a bruise if it connected.

And even though she nearly copped one heck of a concussion, she handled it like a champ.

Instead of spitting the dummy, she just laughed it off.
