Noel Gallagher appears on British TV with a woman playing the scissors

In case you ever feel like nothing you do has any real purpose, we'd like you to think of this video.

It's a musician playing the scissors.

No big deal.

This percussionist (?) was playing along with Noel Gallaher's High Flying Birds during the band's appearance on Later… with Jools Holland on Wednesday.

She only made it a couple of shots, but by golly did those shots make an impact.

Twitter was almost immediately abuzz with excellent scissor-related puns:

But hey, we can get behind this pro scissors player.

She proves that even the most mundane tasks, like cutting things, can contribute to something big.

We don't care what the scoffers say, that's a legitimate form of music.

Because music isn't about fancy instruments, it's about sound and conveying a feeling.

A true artist isn't their instrument because the music comes from their soul.
