'Tense' moment Matt Wright catches thrashing crocodile on Wild Territory
Matt Wright's Wild Territory follows Matt Wright on his mission to protect wildlife and people in the dangerous terrain of the Northern Territory.
He does everything from wrestling huge crocs to reeling in barramundi.
In a recent episode — which you can watch a clip of above — Matt Wright and his fellow wranglers were on a mission to catch a croc named Fluffy, who was anything but.

It looked like Matt and his two right hand men had secured the massive croc until it started thrashing around.
"Watch out! Watch out!" Matt yelled out.
"Always gets a little tense there when a crocodile is thrashing around and you're in the pen with it," Matt said.
He stopped to catch his breath. Catching crocs is hard work after all.
"We have him secured," Matt told the camera.

But the job wasn't over yet.
"This is the most crucial part of catching these crocs — it's being able to secure their jaws," Matt explained.
"It still can swing around and knock us out."
Two wranglers stood back as they tightly held ropes to keep the crocodile down.
Matt acted fast as he covered the croc's eyes and duct taped its jaw shut.
"I've sort of got my knee underneath him and trying to keep him quite braced as it's quite a dangerous operation," Matt said.
"Done. Let's get this big boy on the move."

Matt and his fellow wranglers had to transport Fluffy out of the sun. As cold-blooded animals, crocodile's skin is designed to absorb the heat.
"But too much heat and you'll cook them," Matt said.

Fellow croc catcher Christopher "Willow" Wilson loaded the trailer with lots of foliage to shade Fluffy while he was in transit.
Willow then sat on top of Fluffy while another wrangler secured the croc to the trailer.
"This is probably one of the most dangerous parts of transporting these animals," Willow explained.
"Even though his mouth's taped up and there's not much chance of getting bitten he's still a very heavy powerful animal."

Willow hurried the other wrangler along thinking it wouldn't be longer than eight seconds before the crocodile became agitated.
"I'm a big boy but he's about seven or eight times heavier than me," Willow told the cameras.
"I don't think I've got much chance of stopping him if he wants to go.
"If he flips and rolls or smashes his head into me, I'm in all worlds of hurt then."

But Fluffy wasn't going anywhere. He was locked and loaded and ready to be transported to his release point.
There was one pitstop to be made before Fluffy was released, and that was to stop and show Matt's wife and son, Kaia and Banjo what he'd done at work today.
