Mechanics put shopping trolley wheels on back of Honda Civic

You know how shopping trolleys tend to be unwieldy, wonky, difficult to steer and likely to pivot without warning in another direction?

Yep?

Well, some mechanics in the US asked themselves, what if those supermarket trolley wheels were fitted to the back of a Honda Civic?

BoostedBoiz posted a video earlier this month of an old red hatchback with its back axle and wheels swapped with those wonky trolley wheels.

As it turns out, it's not great for stable driving, but it is perfect for doing donuts.

At least at first.

Because with those thin little tyres, it doesn't take long before you stop burning rubber and start scratching deep grooves in the asphalt with the steel of the wheels.

Pickle would like to assume this was shot under controlled conditions, but generally you imagine controlled conditions means a driver not wearing his cap backwards.

It must be great to have a job where you can live out the ambitions of enthusiastic 15-year-old boy.
