VIDEO: Full grown lion is scared of a bubble

Looks can be deceiving people.

Today's example of that old chestnut comes from a guy called Moto.

Moto is a lion living at Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne, England and he looks like a pretty tough fella.

Having recently turned 10-years-old, he has grown to full size and has an epic beard to really sell that whole "kind of the jungle" look.

To celebrate Moto's birthday, the staff at the park posted video of his encounter with a bubble to the Paradise Wildlife Park Facebook page.

And it doesn't paint him in a very fierce light. 

"Here's one of his not so finest moments, getting scared of a little bubble," they said.

The video has been viewed nearly 30,000 times, and prompted a lot of love and a few cheeky jibes online.

"Reminds me of a certain character from The Wizard of Oz," Geoff Carse said.

We don't think he's so much scared of the bubble, as he is startled by its abrupt disappearance.

Maybe that bubble made him remember that everything comes to an end, reminding him that he will one day too cease to exist.

Perhaps he's not a cowardly lion, perhaps he's just a guy confronted by his own mortality.

Or maybe we're overthinking this.
