Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker had secretly split before his death
Reality star and convicted murderer Gypsy Rose Blanchard had split from her ex-fiancé and father of her child before his death, it has been revealed.
Ken Urker was found dead at his Louisiana home on Thursday, his 34th birthday.

He was “found dead upon arrival,” the Lafourche Parish Public Information Officer told Page Six in a statement.
Authorities said they were “continuing the death investigation”, but had “found no evidence of foul play”.
A police report obtained by Page Six claims drug paraphernalia and a gun were found inside the home, it reported.
It has emerged that Blanchard and Urker had ended their relationship about a month before his death and had been living apart.
“They officially broke up about a month ago, but then they were living apart for about two months,” a source close to the pair told Page Six.
“It was nothing nasty. It was just a mutual agreement,” the insider shared. “They were co-parenting.”
The pair reportedly remained in regular contact over their one-year-old daughter Aurora, who Blanchard cared for during the week and Urker had every other weekend.
Despite their split, Blanchard has spoken of her devastation following her partner’s sudden death.

“I’m in disbelief. I can’t think,” she told People. “I’ve screamed until my throat burns.”
“Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved. He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase.”
Blanchard claimed Urker had been subjected to “relentless cyberbullying” and an “unimaginable level of public scrutiny” before his death.
“The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure,” she said.
Blanchard said she would now make sure Aurora grows up knowing “how deeply her father loved her and who he was beyond what strangers on the internet chose to say about him”.
The former couple first connected as prison pen pals in 2017.
Blanchard was serving her 10-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the 2015 killing of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.
Then they were engaged in October 2018 before splitting up in August 2019.
During their separation, Blanchard married and later separated from Ryan Anderson.

Blanchard and Urker rekindled their romance in April 2024 after her release from prison and split from Anderson.
They split again in late 2026, reportedly over the legal complexity regarding paternity laws due to Blanchard’s divorce from her ex-husband.
A prenatal DNA test officially confirmed Urker as the biological father.
