Grey nurse shark chases lunch just metres from shore
A 2m shark has chased its prey so close to shore it was left thrashing on the sand waiting for a wave to push it back to sea.
Daniel Kirkman, from Something Visual, filmed the grey nurse video in the shallows at Main Beach in Forster, NSW, at the weekend.
He described the scene as “probably the coolest thing in nature I've ever had the privilege to witness”.
Video shows the predator on the hunt through ankle-deep water, as it weaves between waves.

At some points the ocean is so shallow the shark is barely submerged and instead moves along the sand.
It is believed it was chasing a remora fish, also known as a suckerfish.
They are known to attach themselves to the larger creatures and feed on scraps of prey dropped by the shark.
Forster locals said they often saw grey nurse sharks in the area, and had even nick-named the one in the video "Fluffy".
