Alexander Downer was the foreign minister of Australia for 11 years. Before that he was the leader of the Opposition. We do not remember him for his fishnets photo, thank you very much George.

Bagel fable
A few weeks ago while campaigning for governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo declared that "America was never great".
His office has been engulfed in corruption scandals and he has presided over the decline of the famously dysfunctional New York subway.
And a few days ago, his opponent Cynthia Nixon (no relation to Richard) ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with cured salmon, cream cheese and red onion on it.

On a lighter note, student IDs are a thing at high schools in America, which seems baffling enough.
But at North Farmington High, the kids are encouraged to dress up as pop culture characters for their ID photo.
And the results are bloody brilliant.
