Days of Our Lives star Francisco San Martin dies aged 39
Francisco San Martin, an actor best known for his role in Days of Our Lives, has died. He was 39.
San Martin died in his Los Angeles home on Thursday January 16 by suicide, a report from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office confirmed.
Born in Mallorca, Spain, the US actor rose to fame for his role of Dario Hernandez in Emmy Award winning drama Days of Our Lives from 2010 to 2011.
He was also recognised for his role of Mateo in The Bold and the Beautiful, and starred alongside Golden Globe winner Gina Rodriguez in comedy series Jane the Virgin.

Following the news of his death, tributes from fans and co-stars have been pouring in, including Camila Banus who played his on-screen sister Gabi on Days of Our Lives.

"Pepe, what can I say but I love you and rest in peace, my friend," Banus wrote in a touching Instagram post, as reported by Variety.
"Love you mucho mucho mucho. I wish I had told you more," she added.
Martin starred alongside Gina Rodriguez in Jane the Virgin. The CW
"Devastating 💔 My heart goes out to his family," wrote co-star Jessica Serfaty.
"So sad my heart goes out to his family and friends and the cast of days of our lives😢❤️," commented one fan, while a second wrote: "Heartbreaking 💔 so young."
The actor's tragic death comes just months after news broke of another Days of our Lives stars' passing.
Wayne Northrop - who played Detective Roman Brady - had a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease and passed away on November 29 at the age of 77.
