Fishermen rescue deer trapped after falling through a frozen lake

Well here’s a nice, wholesome video to distract you from little life for a minute or so.

A bunch of mates and their dog were out fishing on a late near Whitehall, in the US state of New York, when they came across a stranded deer.

The poor little guy had fallen through the ice and got stuck.

Its hind legs were dangling in the freezing water and he was unable to move.

And as anyone who has ever been dared to sit in an esky at the pointy end of a barbecue would know, you don’t want to hang out in ice water for too long.

It’s not a good time.

So the group whipped around to give the little fawn a hand.

After being yanked up by the tail, the deer was able to find its feet and ran off into the forest.

It was obviously too cold to hang about for a yarn, so we understand why it ran off without a thank you.

We’re hoping the deer was uninjured from the incident and managed to find itself a heater and a hot cup of tea when it got home.
