Dogs compete in world’s largest Halloween costume contest
Will Kostakis
The world's largest Halloween doggy costume contest took over Manhattan's East Village on the weekend.
An estimated 10,000 people turned up to see 376 dogs compete for Best In Show at the Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade.
The competition, now in its 25th year, was as creative as ever: costumes ranged from the topical, like Donald Trump and the Pope, to the classic, like superheroes, to the plain bizarre, like fries wrapped in newspaper.
