File under "How did this even happen?": A hapless cow has been rescued after it somehow wedged its head in a bicycle frame.

Englishman Johnny Weiler photographed the cow while passing through Brockenhurst, a village in New Forest in southern England, on Thursday morning.

"Not an everyday sight," he tweeted.

Not an everyday sight :))) New Forest Cow. It ended well for her pic.twitter.com/wr9lLQ897K

Happily, Weiler added that the saga "ended well" for the cow after she "shook [the bicycle] off okay".

Possibly the only thing wounded by the strange incident was humour. The cow's misfortune kicked off a spate of terrible amazing puns in the UK press: the Evening Standard asked "Cow on earth did this happen?" while the Daily Mail invited its readers to "Moo-ve along". Very a-moo-sing.
