Comedy act the antidote to immunisation injections

Some people just have a way with kids, but it's safe to say there are few who are blessed with the ability to keep a squirming baby calm during routine allergy and immunisation injections.

The video of paediatrician Dr Michael Darden (who shall henceforth be known as The Baby Whisperer) has clocked-up the majority of its half-a-million views in the past 48 hours, presumably thanks to parents desperate to book an appointment.In fact, dad seems to be enjoying it almost as much as the kid.

Dr Darden kept his pint-sized patient giggling through a number of needle-sticks using the age-old technique of misdirection — the second the toddler begins to whimper, he's distracted by an avalanche of swirling tissues, silly sounds and funny faces.
