VIDEO: Rude cockroach lands on news reporter right before a live cross
Say what you will about reporters out there in the field – but it's not all bright lights and blazers.
Sometimes, it's a downright dirty business.
And you don't get much dirtier than copping a cockroach to the chest.
KTLA reporter Mary Beth McDade was gearing up for her live cross last week when a jerk of a cockroach decided to land on her and crawl up her chest.
Not cool, bro.

McDade freaks out for a split second, brushes the critter off herself and then loses it in a fit of laughter.
Her brush with the bug was posted to Twitter by fellow journo Marcus Wilson-Smith and US new sites replayed the moment over and over.
Sure, all of Mother Nature's creatures are beautiful, but it's hard not to be squeamish about cockroaches.

Somehow, though, McDade didn't insist on whipping out a flame thrower or running off squealing.
She shook the thing off, eventually composed herself and went on to deliver her live report like nothing had happened.
And that won her a bunch of fans on Twitter, who would have totally understood if she had a total meltdown:
We salute you, McDade.
