A look back on Zoe Kravitz's dating history as news of her engagement to Harry Styles comes to light

Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles are officially engaged, just eight months after they were first seen together on the streets of Rome.

A source confirmed via People the singer and the actress have shared their happy news with "a small circle" of friends and family, to whom Kravitz, 37, has reportedly been showing off her engagement.

Engagement speculation first swirled last week when the Blink Twice star was seen in London sporting the large ring in question on a very important finger.

The pair were first linked in August last year when they were spotted walking arm in arm in Italy's capital.

Celebrity gossip page Deuxmoi later reported Kravitz and Styles, 32, had shared a kiss at London hotspot Rita's the week prior, with a separate source telling People they'd been "spending time [together]" during Kravitz's press run for Caught Stealing.

"Harry's been spending long stretches of time in Rome this year. Zoë has joined him several times since late summer," the source revealed.

"They just stroll around, meet up with friends and live a very relaxed life. They have great chemistry."

It was even revealed the actress will be joining Styles on his forthcoming Together, Together tour "when it makes sense" to do so.

The loved-up pair have reportedly been "prioritising" time together, more recently seen together for a number of outings in in London and New York City before news of their engagement broke.

So in light of her impending nuptials, let's take a look back at all the previous loves of Zoe Kravitz's life.

Ben Foster

One of the first people the very private actress was linked to is actor Ben Foster. At the time of their relationship, Foster was 27 and Kravitz was 19.

They dated from 2007 to 2009, attending many events and premieres together. Their first appearance was at a fundraising event in February 2007, and they were last spotted in 2009, with not much known about their split.

Ezra Miller

The actress was later linked to controversial actor Ezra Miller from 2010 to 2011.

Again, the relationship was never officially confirmed, but they were spotted out at events and in public together on many occasions.

The actress confirmed in a 2011 interview with Collider that the pair first met during the casting of their 2010 film Beware the Gonzo.

"Ezra had the part and we met, before I was actually hired, just to get ready for a chemistry read, and there was chemistry. We became best friends immediately, and still are," she said.

The end of their relationship is not clear, but they did reunite for the 2018 film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Penn Badgley

Kravitz was then linked with Gossip Girl actor Penn Badgley from 2011 to 2013, dating him after his breakup from his co-star Blake Lively in 2011.

The pair were spotted out and about over the two years, but again did not officially confirm their relationship.

Drake

Kravitz also had a brief fling with rapper Drake in 2013.

Suspicions rose when they were spotted kissing at a Beyonce concert, with the pair later posting photos on Instagram together, even including one with the rapper's arms wrapped around the actress.

The relationship was confirmed in 2017, though Kravitz said on Watch What Happens Live that it wasn't too serious.

A viewer asked about the relationship, to which the director said, "We hung out for a minute. But we are very good friends."

Host Andy Cohen pressed for more details, but all she had to say was, "We hung out a little bit. You know, it's like how I hang out, I don't know how you hang out…"

Chris Pine

The Batman actress was also briefly linked to actor Chris Pine in 2014, having first been spotted at a Coldplay concert, and later he Sundance Film Festival.

Despite their split they remained close, with Pine attending the rehearsal dinner for her wedding to Karl Glusman five years later with his then-girlfriend Annabelle Wallis.

Twin Shadow

The Big Little Lies star dated singer-songwriter Twin Shadow (real name George William Lewis Jr.) in 2016, having met when her alternative band Lolawolf went on tour opening for him in 2015.

The pair also performed on Late Night with Seth Meyers, covering Sade's No Ordinary Love in May 2015.

Two months later, the singer-songwriter oepned up about Kravitz in a interview with Nylon, telling them her "big heart" was her best attribute.

"Zoë really is so down-to-earth. She surprises you with how natural she is," he said.

The friendship turned into a romance, with the pair often seen throughout 2015 and into 2016.

Though it is not known when they split, the pair have remained friends, with Twin Shadow wishing her a happy birthday in 2024, even posting an old photo of them together.

"Happy Bday to the sweetest Kid @zoeisabellakravitz. This pic mad old and we still look the same mama," he wrote on his stories.

Karl Glusman

Kravitz's relationship with actor Karl Glusman was her most serious and most publicised.

They first began dating in 2016, having met in a bar in 2016 while being introduced by a friend. She told British Vogue in 2019, "I love that it wasn't on an app and that it wasn't on a movie set.

"My friend knew that I wanted to meet someone – not even to get serious, I think just to get laid, to be completely honest with you – and he brought Karl. I instantly felt something," she said.

The pair were spotted out and about in New York, posting on Instagram together and even attending the 2017 Emmy Awards together.

Kravitz later divulged that the pair were engaged in a 2018 interview with Rolling Stone, sharing details of the intimate affair.

"Oh yeah, I'm engaged. I haven't told anyone yet – I mean, I haven't told the world. I wanted to keep it private," she shared, "I was in sweatpants. I think I was a little drunk. I could feel his heart beating so fast – I was like, 'Baby, are you okay?'"

The actress said Glusman set the mood by lighting candes and playing Nina Simone.

"He nailed it. And I love that it wasn't this elaborate plan in Paris. It was at home, in sweatpants," she said.

"I can be my weirdest self around him. It's so relaxing to be around someone where you can be 100 per cent how you feel."

The pair tied the knot at her father's Lenny Kravitz's three-story, 18th-century mansion in Paris in 2019.

The wedding was a star-studded affair, attended by the likes of Kravitz's Big Little Lies costars Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley and Reese Witherspoon, her mother Lisa Bonet and her then-stepfather Jason Momoa.

Unfortunately, the marriage did not last long, with the actress filing for divorce just 18 months after the wedding. The divorce was finalised in August 2021.

The actress was at first private about the reasons for her break up, telling ELLE in a February 2022 interview, "I don't really want to go into that," she said.

"Karl's an incredible human being. It really is less about him and more about me learning how to ask myself questions about who I am and still learning who I am, and that being okay. That's the journey I'm on right now."

However she changed her tune a few months later, telling GQ in November 2022, "I just learned to think about who I am and what I want.

"You meet someone who's amazing and wants to marry you, and there's nothing wrong with that. If there's nothing wrong, then why wouldn't you do it?You love them and that's what you do.

"It's a hard question to ask yourself: 'Maybe I don't want the thing that I'm supposed to want, a marriage, children, any of it. I don't know if I want that at all.' That's an uncomfortable question, especially for a woman to ask herself."

Channing Tatum

The same month her divorce from Glusman was finalised, Kravitz was spotted in New York with actor Channing Tatum. The pair had grown close after she cast him in her directorial debut Blink Twice, with a source confirming to Us Weekly that they were dating.

Over a year later, Kravitz spoke about how they spent time together in a November 2022 interview with GQ.

She said the Magic Mike star was "a wonderful human", adding, "He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do. We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other."

The director also mentioned Tatum was the person she kept in mind when writing his character in Blink Twice.

"I got the sense he's a true feminist, and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter," she remarked.

In October 2023, multiple sources confirmed to People that they were engaged. Though they never confirmed it verbally, the actors were seen dressed in a couple's costume as Rosemary's Baby on Halloween, complete with a large diamond ring many interpreted to be the ring.

In August 2024, three years after they began dating, the couple finally made their red carpet debut at the Los Angeles premiere of their film Blink Twice.

But the elation from their project finally being wrapped wore off when a mere two months later, the couple suddenly called off their engagement.

Though the former couple themselves didn't comment on the split, insiders told Page Six there was "no bad blood" between them.

"There was no dramatic falling out between Channing and Zoë. They really just grew apart and decided it was best for them to go their separate ways."

Kravitz mentioned her ex in her cover story with Elle in March 2025, but was careful not to mention details of their relationship.

Speaking of their film, she said, "I love this thing that we made together, and I care for him very much ... I'm so happy that all of it happened. I just feel so grateful that we got to go on that journey together."

She added that Tatum, "has so much more coming, and I think he's in a place as an actor where he's feeling really confident and people are seeing different sides of him. He's got a lot to offer, so I'm excited for people to keep witnessing that."

Tatum has since moved on, dating Australian model Inka Williams.

Austin Butler

Rumours were a-flurry late last year after Kravitz was spotted with not one but two leading men on her arm.

Last August, the 36-year-old was papped by Page Six getting cosy in the corner of a Paris bar with co-star Austin Butler, 34, following the premiere of their film Caught Stealing in the city of love.

The pair even shared an embrace in the dimly-lit venue – but according to TMZ, neither were 'caught stealing' the other's heart.

Though their cosy outing generated a lot of buzz at the time, a source revealed the actors' relationship was strictly platonic.

There had been reports Kravitz had arrived to and left the venue on Butler's arm, however "multiple sources," quickly debunked these claims, saying Caught Stealing director Darren Aronofsky had also accompanied the pair.

Initially, it was speculated there was a love triangle brewing between Butler, Kravitz and Harry Styles, with the actress and singer first linked during that time.

However, as recent developments have shown, Kravitz is very firmly in the 'team Harry' camp.
