Controversial YouTube star James Charles trolled at Kylie Jenner's skincare launch

Controversial YouTuber James Charles may be on the outs with former mentor Tati Westbrook, but he's still welcome within the Kardashian-Jenner fold.

In recent weeks, the 19-year-old beauty guru has felt the wrath of Westbrook, who labelled him "unsupportive" and "ungrateful" after he chose to endorse a rival brand instead of Westbrook's. As a result, Charles lost upwards of three million YouTube subscribers, but one who has seemingly remained by his side is Kylie Jenner.

"Sisters," Charles captioned a photo of the pair at Jenner's pink-themed party in LA last night.  

Not so fast, noted one fan who wrote, "but she unfollowed you lol."

Nothing was going to spoil the party for Charles, who hit back with an equally sassy comment.

"She never followed me in the first place lol," he responded to the troll. "Stop believing everything you read on the internet."

While some celebs and YouTube stars have distanced themselves from Charles, Jenner, 21, doesn't appear to be going anywhere. The firm friends go way back, and during Halloween last year, Jenner let Charles do her makeup. Charles was even one of the first people who got the backstory behind her daughter Stormi Webster's name.

"I bought custom things for her that said her name 'ie.' I bought her the blocks, Stormie," Jenner explained at the time. "So then, when they called me from the birth certificate office and I was finalising the name, they were like, 'How do you want to spell it?' And I was like 'S-T-O-R-M-I.' And they were like 'You sure?' And I was like 'Yeah, just an I.'

"Literally right then and there I just changed it to the I and I hung up the phone and I was like, 'Damn, I guess that's her name."

Meanwhile, also at Jenner's skincare launch was of course big sister Kourtney Kardashian. The 40-year-old rocked a dress so tiny, she suffered a wardrobe malfunction, flashing her underwear in an Instagram photo.

"Love me," she captioned the risqué photo, stamping a heart emoji to cover her modesty.
