Will Smith has spoken candidly about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith's struggles through their marriage.

In a clip from an upcoming episode of Red Table Talk, the 50-year-old actor joined his wife, their 17-year-old daughter Willow Smith and his mother-in-law, Adrienne Banfield-Jones.

"There was a period where Mommy woke up and cried for 45 days straight. I started keeping a diary," Will told Willow, before Jada, 47, said with a laugh, "You missed some days."

"It was every morning," said Will. "I think that's the worst I've ever felt in our marriage. I was failing miserably."

Red Table Talk is a web series hosted by Jada, her mother and her daughter. The three women often delve into personal and sometimes dark subjects including sex, mental health, relationships, loss and more.

In a previous episode, Jada said she's dealt with various addictions her whole life including sex, exercise and alcohol.

"I was in the house by myself and I had those two bottles of wine and was going for the third bottle," she recalled in one anecdote. "And I was like, 'Now hold up. You're in the this house by yourself going onto your third bottle of wine? You might have a problem.'"

Jada has also opened up about mental health and self care -- most recently after the sudden deaths of Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade four months ago.

She took to Instagram to talk about her own experiences.

"In the years I spent towards my healing, many moons ago, I realized the mind and heart can be extremely delicate without the foundation of a formidable spirit," she wrote. "What I eat, what I watch on TV, what music I listen to, how I care for my body, my spiritual practice, what people I surround myself with, the amount of stress I allow and so on... either contribute to or deteriorate my mental health.

"Mental health is a daily practice for me," she continued. "It's a practice of deep self-love. May Kate and Anthony Rest In Peace. Many may not understand... but I do, and this morning I have the deepest gratitude that I pulled through."
