The Will & Grace reunion trailer just dropped and you need to watch it right now

Will & Grace fans just got a taste of what to expect when the show returns to screens in the second half of the year with a new trailer.

While an initial teaser ran as an ad to get Americans to vote in the last election, the new trailer is an amazing mini-musical.

Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally reprise their characters Will, Grace, Jack and Karen seamlessly in the five-and-a-half-minute song-and-dance fest.

The clip begins with Eric trying to convince Debra to return to the show, as they stroll around the NBC offices.

In typical Grace fashion, she stashes handfuls of freebies into her purse along the way as she tells him, "I just don't have the time."

"Don't have the time? All you do is Instagram!" Eric says, with Debra poking fun at her recent social media feud with Susan Sarandon, saying: "Not true, I tweet, I snap…"

"I'm just not feeling it, I've done it," she adds, admitting she's scared the revival won't work.

But when Eric takes her back to their old set and they're joined by their former castmates – who have no idea they've been on a show the whole time – the negotiation turns into a musical number.

The song and dance makes fun of things from the series, including the fancy New York apartment that realistically neither Will nor Grace would have ever been able to afford and all the "fake TV shows we never watched" in the lounge room.

Ending with an orchestra, red carpet, and confetti, the cast sing, "Everything's as if we never said goodbye," which is exactly what fans are hoping for.

The 12-episode reunion series sees the cast return to TV after an 11-year hiatus.

The original '90s sitcom started in 1998 before winding up in 2008, after eight seasons on-air and an impressive 83 Primetime Emmy Award nominations over the years, winning 16 of those.

The stars of the popular show came together last year to create a one-off video encouraging people to vote in the 2016 US election.

After the clip went viral and fans went wild online, NBC announced the reunion series in January.

It's sparked a number of old shows being brought back for specials, including Roseanne.
