Vinnie Jones shares final note his wife Tanya left him before her tragic cancer death

Vinnie Jones has revealed the touching final note his wife left him before she died of cancer.

The former footballer, 55, appeared on Piers Morgan's Life Stories on Saturday night, where he spoke candidly of his wife, Tanya, who died in 2019 after battling the disease for six years.

Following the show, the Snatch actor thanked fans for their support and thoughtful messages via Instagram, while also sharing a picture of the final note from his wife.

The front of the card read, "Always believe something wonderful is about to happen."

"To my love Vin, something wonderful happens to me every day... Being with you!" Tanya had written. "You are my morning sunshine the moment I wake. With all my love."

Jones added his own caption to the photos, revealing that the note was the last card Tanya had sent him.

"Lets start the journey with this last card Tansy sent me," he wrote alongside the snaps. "I would just like to thank everybody for their really kind messages and support towards myself and especially Tansy.

"It is overwhelming to feel so much love from this great country of people. With your backing I will stay strong and help others on this journey of life good and sad. Thank you everyone! Vinnie."

During the interview with Morgan on Saturday night, the British actor admitted it's "impossible" for him to marry again, saying he had the "perfect one and done" with his wife.

Tanya passed away in July 2019 after a six-year battle with cancer. The couple had been married since 1994 and met when they were teens.

"They said to us maybe days, maybe weeks, maybe months," Jones said to Morgan of his wife's sickness.

"I was on my knees howling, you find yourself going to Forest Lawn cemetery to make arrangements before she passed. You think you're in a horror dream, that is the only way to describe it.

"I knew the pain was horrific, I knew it was time to stop and I begged the nurse to stop it.

"All of a sudden she took her last breath and I felt all these butterflies leave her. You're just not in real time… I felt all these butterflies, Tinkerbell, and she was free. Painless."
