'I just want them to be proud': Victoria Beckham becomes emotional in trailer for her new Netflix docuseries as she speaks about her family

Victoria Beckham has revealed her vulnerable side in her soon-to-be-released, self-titled Netflix docuseries.

In the official trailer for the three-part series released this morning, the former pop star turned fashion mogul became emotional as she opened up about the pressure to succeed and to make her loved ones proud.

In one moment, she is even captured wiping away tears as she speaks about her self doubt with her husband.

"That uncool kid at school that's awkward," Victoria says in the trailer as footage of a young Victoria plays on the screen.

"That was me," she declared.

"But I desperately wanted to be liked, have a sense of worth."

Throughout the trailer she proceeds to talk about the evolution of her career and her constant desire to prove herself.

"Performing was my dream, the Spice Girls made me accept who I am and then all of a sudden it stopped," she said of the rise and fall of the famous girl group.

What followed was her foray into the world of fashion but success didn't come easy.

"Fashion was this creative outlet ... People thought, 'She was a pop star, she's married to a footballer, who does she think she is'," she said of those who doubted her prospects as a designer.

And while her brand is now widely successful that wasn't always the case.

"We were millions in the red," she said before the camera flicked to David who revealed he had been "panicked".

But on top of it all, Victoria says she just wants to make her family proud.

"I want my kids and David to be proud of me," she says as her voice cracks.

"It has taken so long to get to this point, I'm not going to let it slip through my fingers again."

The emotional trailer comes amid a rumoured feud between Victoria's eldest son Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham and the rest of the family.

As Victoria speaks about her family in the trailer, Brooklyn is notably missing from the supporting clips.

Romeo can be seen in the trailer wearing an orange cap while hugging his mum, Cruz can be seen backstage with his mum and Harper is pictured in the audience of her mum's fashion show.

Brooklyn does not feature in the clip. Although there are clips of Victoria with one of her sons as a baby but it is unclear which son it is.

The trailer comes to a close with a clip of David and a teary Victoria sitting together by the water.

"You could make a cheese and ham toasted sandwich and we'd be proud of you," David tells his wife.

Victoria, who is visibly emotional, wipes away tears as she responds, "Let's be honest, I couldn't actually make a cheese sandwich very well."

The pair both laugh as the trailer ends.
