Aussie actors Luke Mitchell and Rebecca Breeds announce the birth of their first child: 'We love you beyond words'

Aussie actors Rebecca Breeds and Luke Mitchell shared some joyous news this morning – they're parents!

The pair, who have both starred on the long-running soap Home and Away, shared the news that Breeds, 37, had given birth in a joint Instagram post including some gorgeous images of their newborn, who is their first child.

Revealing they welcomed a son, they wrote: "Welcome to the world little man. Thanks for choosing us. We love you beyond words 🙏❤️✨."

Their fans, followers and friends rushed to congratulate the pair in the comments.

"Congrats guys," actor and The Originals and The Vampire Diaries star Sebastian Roché wrote. He starred with Breeds on The Originals.

Home and Away star Georgie Parker commented: "Oh Luke, huge congratulations to you and Bec. Now the fun begins. Sending love."

The pair kept their baby's face concealed, but shared images of his feet, tiny hands and hair.

In November, Breeds announced her pregnancy, posing on the red carpet and cradling her baby bump.

"VERY excited to share baby Mitchell and @kangarooislandmovie coming sooooooooon! Thanks @adlfilmfest for having us and everyone who came to support us. 🙏🤍."

The pair have one of the most rock-solid relationships around.

They met on set of iconic soap Home and Away and fell head over heels and have now been together for 15 years.

The smitten pair tied the knot back in 2013.

They have both had considerable success in the United States with their acting careers, with Mitchell, 39, landing a role on Chicago Med and Breeds on The Originals.

They recently relocated back to Australia from America.
