Reality TV star Yazmin Oukhellou and boyfriend Jake McLean reportedly had 'furious argument' before fatal car crash

New claims have been made regarding the moments before a fatal crash that seriously injured a British reality TV star and killed her boyfriend.

The Only Way is Essex star Yazmin Oukhellou is currently in intensive care at a hospital in Turkey after a car she was travelling in – reportedly driven her boyfriend, Jake McLean – veered off a cliff in the resort town of Bodrum. 

The crash saw Oukhellou, 28, rushed to hospital with "extremely serious" damage to her arm, while McLean died at the scene. He was 33.

Now a report from The Sun claims the couple got into a "furious argument" around 3am at a Turkish nightclub before reportedly entering their vehicle that fateful night.

"Jake and Yazmin were locked in a furious argument in the club in front of everyone. Things got extremely heated quickly but they ended up leaving the venue together," a source told the outlet. 

"They got into their car straight from the venue – it's all so tragic. Everyone is praying Yazmin makes some sort of recovery."

The couple were first linked early last year but it wasn't until December they confirmed their romance on Instagram. In her post, Oukhellou hinted their relationship was already rocky. 

"We've been through more than most. Had our ups and downs but I wouldn't have us any other way," she wrote at the time.

A rep for Oukhellou has since confirmed the accident with the Daily Mail.

"Yazmin is stable and recovering in hospital after surgery," they said. "Yazmin and her family have requested privacy at this time."

Oukhellou found fame when she first appeared on TOWIE in 2017. McLean has also appeared on the show from 2012 to 2016 when he dated TOWIE fave Lauren Goodger, 35. It was Goodger who led the way in tributes for McLean on Instagram.

"R.I.P Jake. I have no words right now… my thoughts are with your family & friends," she wrote.
