Tom Cruise apparently had a meltdown on the set of Mission Impossible over tree branches

Tom Cruise has apparently gone on a furious rant on the UK set of his latest movie, Mission: Impossible 7.

According to The Sun, the actor had a meltdown after becoming irritated over tree branches that kept banging onto the roof of a trailer as he and some cast members were trying to relax. 

"There isn't much Tom can't put up with. So imagine how baffled everyone was when there was such a fuss made over a tree," an on-set source told the UK paper. 

"The branches hanging over were knocking on the roof of the trailer which Tom and some of the other cast had been using. Apparently, the noise was becoming beyond irritating and they couldn't stand it any longer."

Although production was smack-bang in the middle of a windy field in North Yorkshire, the matter was dealt with immediately.

"Two local lads were called out to sort out the problem and cut down the offending branches," the source said. 

This is not the first time Cruise has experienced a meltdown on the set of the seventh Mission Impossible movie. Back in December, the actor expressed his frustration with crew members after he saw them breaking COVID-19 guidelines.

In audio obtained by The Sun, Cruise could be heard yelling at two crew members, "If I see you do it again you're f---ing gone" after seeing them standing too close to one another in front of a computer screen. 

"We are the gold standard," he also said in the audio. "They're back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us. Because they believe in us and what we're doing. I'm on the phone with every f---ing studio at night, insurance companies, producers and they're looking at us and using us to make their movies. We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherf---ers. I don't ever want to see it again. Ever!"
