The Wanted singer Tom Parker's widow Kelsey an 'emotional wreck' ahead of first red carpet event without him

Kelsey Parker, wife of the late The Wanted singer Tom Parker, has shared an emotional video ahead of her first red carpet appearance without him.

Posting to her Instagram Stories, Kelsey revealed she was feeling like an "emotional wreck" ahead of the British National Television Awards (NTAs), the event coming six months after her husband's death.

"I don't know what is wrong with me this morning, but I'm literally so emotional," she admitted. "I just, I don't know why I did it this morning but I sat there and I looked through all of Tom's Reels.

"I just can't stop crying. I'm trying not to cry right now."

"I just think that obviously with the NTAs today and, even with it being postponed, I think this has been a long time coming and I just feel really overwhelmed by everything," she said.

The awards ceremony took place on October 13, having been postponed from its original date of September 15.

Tom was posthumously nominated for an NTA for his documentary Inside My Head, which explores the brain cancer diagnosis he received in 2020.

"I feel overwhelmed that I have to walk the red carpet on my own," she added, "This is the first time I'm ever going to do this without him."

Parker died on March 30 after a two-year battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive type of brain cancer that is incurable.

He was 33, and left behind his wife and their two children, Aurelia, three, and Bodhi, two.

Earlier this month, Kelsey marked six months since the singer's death, and shared a sweet photo of her and Tom with her best friend.

She also revealed one of the "hardest challenges" she's had to face since his death, which was celebrate her best friend's wedding without him.

"Six months to the day since we lost Tom but you're still here @tomparkerofficial in everything we do," she wrote.

"We have arrived at the hotel to get ready for Kelsey and Dean's wedding tomorrow and I'm so excited to watch my best friend get married to the best guy we could have chosen for her. The only man Tom ever approved of for our Kels," she added.

"Tom would be so proud of you both and I know he's gutted to be missing out on this special day. Not having him by my side tomorrow will be one of the hardest challenges I've faced yet, but I will do it."
