The Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki reveals gender of unborn baby with messy paint party
Johnny Galecki's gender reveal party went off with a big bang… of blue paint!
The Big Bang Theory star and his girlfriend Alaina Meyer hosted a paint party for their family and friends over the US Memorial Day weekend to announce they are having a baby boy later this year.
"A day I'll never forget," the 44-year-old actor wrote on Instagram of himself and Meyer wearing overalls covered in blue paint.
The 21-year-old model shared a similar photo on her own account, gushing about the new chapter they were about to embark on as new parents.
"I can not wait to raise a baby boy with my love," she wrote. "He will follow in his fathers footsteps of being a generous, loving, chivalrous fellow."
However, it appears Galecki was hoping their baby would be a girl. So much so that he painted his fingernails pink in hopes the universe would get the hint.
"I get a little bored looking exactly the same way for 9-and-a-half months every year playing Leonard," he said earlier this month on The Talk of his Big Bang Theory character. "So, we wrapped, and I threw some blue in my hair. Then, I got superstitious that I was, like, manifesting a boy, when I kind of prefer a girl — don't play this tape for my child years from now. So, I painted my nails pink to try to even out the energy there."
It's been a whirlwind relationship for the pair, who first went public with their romance at the People's Choice Awards last November after dating for a few months. Then earlier this month, they announced a baby was on the way. There were even rumours that the pair had married back in December after they were both seen wearing matching rings, but Meyer quickly shut those down on Instagram, saying, "#notmarried yet…"
