Taylor Swift's squad: Is it dead?

Taylor Swift fans are not happy.

Eyebrows were raised this week when the 27-year-old 'Shake It Off' singer skipped out on her annual Fourth of July party, and now, loyal followers of the star are suggesting there might be more to it than we think.

While the world waited for paparazzi photos that would never come of Taylor's Rhode Island mansion party (Taylor has been particularly quiet recently), many of her closest friends were elsewhere, including the Grammy-winning artist's best friend, Karlie Kloss, and former friend Kendall Jenner.

What's even more intriguing is that said squad members have been notably active on social media of late,  posting photos of themselves having all the fun together -- without Taylor.

You may remember Kendall, 21, as a ~seasonal~ member of the squad. They hung out at parties together, and Taylor invited her on stage with five of her other BFFs at a concert in 2015. But, then the feud between Kim Kardashian and Taylor happened.

Quick recap: Kanye West released the song 'Famous' with the line "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex". Taylor played the victim, while Kim leaked audio recordings of Taylor chatting to Kanye while enthusiastically endorsing the line.

Everyone picked a side: Team Taylor or Team Kim.

It was assumed Kendall chose to support her big sister, and Kendall and Taylor haven't interacted with each other since.

So, when Karlie, 24, attended Paris Fashion Week earlier this week, and shared a photo of herself and Kendall together on Instagram and Twitter, fans got angry.

The phrase "Kaylor is dead" was thrown around a LOT in comments on Instagram. Another person wrote, "Stay away from Kendall, Karlie" and "How could you do this to Taylor?"

One particularly angry user suggested, "Karlie why are you doing this to Tay," before adding, "You low-key shaded Taylor," followed up by, "Hey I'm asking you something b---h. You have to answer."

Other highlights?

"Damn the betrayal SMH. #hang in their Taylor", and, "The Taylor shade. I'm dead as hell."

On Twitter, one user shared, "Not only was Karlie not with Taylor today but she was with Kendall," accompanied by a photo of a defeated-looking Katy Perry.

A gif was also posted on Twitter of a man clutching onto a coffin being towed away, with the caption, "Me clinging to Kaylor even though everyone tells me it's dead."

Poor Taylor. She just can't catch a break!
