A humble western Sydney venue was enchanted to meet Taylor Swift on Wednesday when the superstar stepped out for a surprise outing.

Swift, 34, kept a relatively low profile ahead of her three record-breaking shows in Melbourne last week, opting to hole up in her Crown Towers penthouse rather than step out onto the streets.

But the Lover singer has been out and about in Sydney this week, first stopping for dinner at a Surry Hills restaurant on Tuesday night, before spending the following day on a day trip of sorts.

Swift spent Wednesday at Accor Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park, where she conducted a soundcheck before her first show on Friday.

Then she ventured to Bungarribee in Blacktown, where she was seen wandering around Sydney Zoo with her entourage.

Dressed casually in a pair of sneakers, a light grey t-shirt, a denim skirt and sunglasses, Swift, her security and her backup dancers toured the section of Sydney Zoo where native Australian animals are kept.

She then reportedly dined at Japanese restaurant Nobu at Sydney's Crown Towers.

Her surprise outing at the zoo was relatively low-profile compared to her 7pm dinner at Pellegrino 2000 in Surry Hills on Tuesday night.

Although Swift reportedly dined in the more private downstairs area of the restaurant – it's understood she declined to book out the whole restaurant – fans quickly caught wind she and her opening act, Sabrina Carpenter, were at the venue.

The duo were subsequently greeted by a hoard outside the restaurant, all of whom were waiting to catch a glimpse of her.

Her outings came hours before her NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was reported to have boarded a private jet, which is believed to be landing in Sydney at 8.30am AEDT.
