'Intense': Suits star Rick Hoffman reveals secrets behind incredible new look

Suits star Rick Hoffman surprised fans when he returned to social media with a completely new look – and now he has explained what was behind it.

Hoffman, 56, unveiled his transformation with a mirror selfie, writing “been a min”, and the surprising photo prompted one fan to ask the secret behind his weight loss.

“Intense intermittent fasting and keto diet. No alcohol,” Hoffman candidly replied.

Intermittent fasting is an eating plan that restricts food intake for a set number of hours, while keto involves eating a very low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet.

Thousands of stunned fans congratulated Hoffman on his results, with many also making jokes related to his beloved Suits character, Louis Litt.

“Louis Fitt,” one said.

“You just got Litt up,” another wrote.

“You look terrific! Congratulations,” a third commented.

His former co-star, Sarah Rafferty, who played Donna Paulsen on the show, reacted with fire and heart eyes emojis.

Hoffman returned to Instagram last month, after being quiet since April, and his 1.3 million followers were quick to notice a slimmed-down look and noticeably fuller hairline.

Another follower boldly asked for his doctor’s details and Hoffman obliged, giving them the name of his Toronto-based cosmetic dermatologist and hair transplant specialist.

Hoffman has spoken candidly about health issues in the past, most notably his OCD diagnosis in 1993.

In an April interview with entrepreneur JT Foxx, Hoffman remembered, “I got struck with major anxiety where I would be woken up, and I felt like I was jumping out of my skin 24/7 in this nightmare.”

He said feeling as if “your world is impending doom around the corner every day” made him see the world differently.

“Had I not had that happen, I never would have made it with any career. It was a real quick slingshot through life lesson to really know where you stand on this planet, which is just with everyone else,” he said.
