Wheel of Fortune star Sophie Falkiner announces her engagement at 49: 'I can't wait to be your wife!'
Sophie Falkiner has announced her engagement to partner Steve Wood, after he popped the question while the pair were holidaying on the idyllic Whitsunday Islands.
Falkiner, 49, who is known for her role as a letter-turner on Wheel of Fortune, shared the happy news with her fans on Instagram on the weekend.
The presenter, who was previously married to radio executive Tony Thomas, said Wood has made her the "happiest woman" after he proposed in a romantic beachside picnic.

"It's official 💍 Thank you for making me the happiest woman I've ever been. 🥰 Your kindness, strength, thoughtfulness, integrity and love blows me away❤️," she wrote in her caption.
"My family, children and friends are all so excited to have you in their lives. As I am equally excited to become a member of your beautiful family.
"I love you , and I can't wait to be your wife."

Falkiner shared a collage of pictures from their holiday and showed off her new diamond ring.
Falkiner, who shares Bella, 17, and Jack, 14, with her ex-husband Tony Thomas, previously spoke about their marriage breakdown.
The pair divorced in 2015 after 14 years of marriage.

"When I married, I did marry for life," she told New Idea in January.
"My parents have been together for 52 years, so it was tough for me because one of the biggest things I mourned was the family unit and having all of us together."
"But the last seven years have been a very empowering time for me."
Falkiner also gushed about her now-fiancé Wood, saying she was 'in love' and 'lucky' to have met him.
She previously told 9Honey the pair met at a restaurant when the TV presenter was out to dinner with a girlfriend. At the time, she had taken some time away from dating.

"I needed time to heal. I didn't cut off dating completely, I just didn't go looking for it," she said.
"I had been with someone for 17 years and for a long time I didn't look at men that way at all."
Falkiner then described her relationship as "easy", explaining: "I think when you meet the right person it's easy. There's a comradery, a friendship."
