A younger man dumped Sharon Stone for refusing Botox after her near-fatal brain aneurysm

The Basic Instinct star has graced the cover of Vogue Arabia's September issue, and it seemed for the accompanying interview, no topic was off limits – and that includes cosmetic procedures.

Stone, 64, opened up about Botox in her interview, and confessed that an unnamed former partner dumped her when she refused to get the procedure following a near-fatal brain aneurysm.

In 2001, Stone suffered a severe brain aneurysm and took a two-year break from Hollywood to heal.

"There were periods in the super fame when I got Botox and filler and stuff, and then I had this massive stroke and a nine-day brain hemorrhage and I had to have over 300 shots of Botox and filler to make the one side of my face come up again," Stone told the publication, adding that cosmetic procedures turned from a "cute luxury to some kind of massive, painful neurological need" as a result.

Stone confessed her stance against cosmetic procedures came up in a recent relationship with a younger man, who asked if she uses Botox.

She responded, "It would probably be really good for your ego and mine if I did."

Shortly following that interaction, Stone said the relationship ended. She saw him one time after the Botox discussion, and she said he "wasn't interested" in seeing her anymore.

"If you don't see me for more than that, you'll please find your way to the exit," she said.

Stone did not name who the man was, though her last known relationship was with 26-year-old rapper RMR. It emerged in June last year they had been dating for "several months," though it's currently not known if they are still together.

The Ratched star was previously married to producer Michael Greenburg from 1984 to 1987 and then journalist Phil Bronstein from 1998 to 2004. Stone shares 22-year-old son Roan Joseph Bronstein with her former husband, and in 2005, she adopted her second son Laird Vonne, and in 2006, she adopted her third son Quinn Kelly Stone.

Stone does not shy away from the issue of ageism in Hollywood, and in the interview, she spoke out about how after 45, "women become invisible."

"I think I can probably speak for you and the rest of the female planet when I say that there's a giant effort to make us not feel free and to feel oppressed," she said.

"And I don't go for it... I feel like this is the most exciting and creative period of my life. I feel really, really happy. I've never been this joyful."
