Sam Burgess’ wife Lucy Burgess announces she’s expecting their third child together

Congratulations are in order for Sam Burgess and his wife Lucy Burgess after the couple announced they are expecting their third child together.

“One more to love. Baby number three due Jan 27,” Lucy, 34, shared, alongside a sweet family video.

The couple are already parents to daughter Robbie, two, and son, Mack, 10 months, who touched their mother’s bump and joined their father in placing daisies on her stomach in the pregnancy announcement.

Many friends and fans congratulated the parents on their baby news.

“Beautiful, congratulations Sam and Lucy – gorgeous kids!” one said.

“Eeek you’re in the three club! Congratulations guys,” wrote another.

The baby news comes after the pair welcomed Mack in September 2025 and Robbie in September 2023.

Burgess also has two children – Poppy, nine, and son Billy, seven – from his previous marriage with journalist Phoebe Burgess, who he split from in 2019.

The former NRL star and Lucy tied the knot in Rome in 2024.

They wed at Villa Aurelia, a gorgeous 17th-century Baroque property that features breathtaking views of the city.

She announced they had married with a simple post online, captioned with their wedding date.

Burgess proposed in June 2023, just nine months after the couple went public with their relationship.

Despite the quick timeline, the pair have actually known each other for decades, first connecting as teens at a mutual friends’ party in the UK.
