Sabrina Carpenter settles Barry Keoghan split rumours with rare comment about him
Sabrina Carpenter has subtly shut down rumours she and actor boyfriend Barry Keoghan broke up with a rare comment about her beau's involvement in one of her recent music videos.
Rumours that the couple had called it quits began when the Espresso singer posted a cheeky TikTok last week implying she was recently single.

In the clip, which was set to her track Please Please Please, Carpenter blew a kiss to the camera under text which read, "me saying goodbye to him bc [because] I wasn't his #1 streamed artist".
The video sparked a flurry of breakup rumours, with fans speculating the video was about Keoghan.
"Did they break up or not??" one commenter asked, another writing "Are they really not a thing anymore?"
Fans now know it was nothing more than a tongue-in-cheek video made to promote Carpenter's latest single, as she gushed about her boyfriend in a new interview with Variety.
Speaking about casting him in the music video for Please Please Please, Carpenter said it was only natural given that he "loved" the song.

"He's obsessed with the lyrics, and I'm so grateful for that," she told the outlet.
"I don't want to sound biased, but I think he's one of the best actors of this generation."
While the Saltburn star is definitely a fine actor and has plenty of accolades to his name, we have a feeling Carpenter might be a touch biased in that regard.
She continued, "getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special."

The singer also revealed that Keoghan shares a star sign with her sister - both are Libras - and said the pair have some "similarities".
But she kept comments about her romance to a minimum in the interview, as has become a pattern for her and her actor boyfriend.
Though they're one of the hottest young couples in the spotlight right now, both tend to prefer to keep their private lives to themselves, focusing on their singing and acting careers when they're giving interviews or making public appearances.
