Who is Ryan Fischer, Lady Gaga's dog walker targeted in Hollywood shooting?

Lady Gaga's dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was shot in Los Angeles on Wednesday night while he was out walking the singer's dogs.

According to The Daily Mail, Fischer was shot in the chest and her two French bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, were stolen. The third dog, Miss Asia, escaped and was later recovered.

Fisher was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but is currently in Hollywood

In recent years, Fischer has shares images of him with his four-legged friends across New York City, including Central Park, the Hudson, Washington Square Park and Williamsburg.

He appears to recently have moved to Los Angeles. It was not immediately clear if the move is permanent or to temporarily care for Gaga's dogs.

Fischer has known Gaga for a number of years

Ryan Fischer has known Lady Gaga for at least six years, sharing a photo of Lady Gaga on the red carpet back in 2015.

"It's the stage moms of my 3 favorite frenchies! @brandonmaxwell what a show!" he captioned the post.

Fischer has a love for dogs, especially Lady Gaga's

Fischer's love of dogs is evident across his social media, including his handle, Valley of the Dogs, which shows a number of posts featuring Gaga's pups.

"We are from the stars," he tells the Frenchies in a recent IGTV post. "No matter who you are — from human to hound — the tradition of setting aside time to contemplate your life and role in it is essential in the development of self."

He is currently in the hospital

Fischer was rushed to hospital following the shooting in Hollywood.

The male suspect took the two bulldogs from the Fischer, used a semi-automatic handgun and fled the scene in a white sedan, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.

According to police, the dog walker was in critical condition from a single gunshot wound, but a source has said he is "recovering well."

Fischer's attacker is still on the loose and Lady Gaga is offering a financial reward in return of her dogs

It is unclear if Fischer or Gaga were intended to be targets of this attack, but according to police, the suspect is still at large. Gaga is currently in Rome for her upcoming movie and it's unclear if she will return home amid the investigation.

The singer is offering a US$500,000 (approx. $633,000) reward for the return of her French bulldogs Koji and Gustav, a source familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

The source close to Lady Gaga, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the singer was urging anyone who has the dogs to contact the email kojiandgustav@gmail.com to return the dogs and retrieve the reward, no questions asked.
