Roxy Jacenko hints that she's replacing Lisa Wilkinson on TODAY

In addition to being a PR mastermind, Roxy Jacenko has one hell of a sense of humour.

In a cheeky Instagram post on October 16, the Sweaty Betty and Ministry of Talent director stirred the pot following Lisa Wilkinson's shock announcement that she will be leaving Nine's TODAY for The Project.

The 37-year-old mum-of two shared a clearly Photoshopped picture of herself sitting at the TODAY desk next to host Karl Stefanovic.

"Look forward to waking up with you tomorrow @thetodayshow," she captioned the pic, which was shared with her 198,000 followers.

Roxy's fans exploded in the comment section, with some even believing the apparent joke was true.

"Perfect," wrote one.

"Best news ever," added another.

"Is this for real?" another wrote.

Roxy isn't the first power player whose name has been throw into rumours surrounding Lisa's replacement.

While Deb Knight fills in until Lisa's successor is named, Nine news readers Georgie Gardner and Sylvia Jeffreys are being suggested as strong contenders to co-host alongside Karl.
