Roxy Jacenko learns her plants have been stolen, promptly tracks them down

Roxy Jacenko had quite an adventure on Friday afternoon.

The Sydney publicist was dismayed to learn two of her fiddle leaf figs, worth around $900, had been stolen from outside her Paddington business while she was giving them some sun.

Taking to Instagram, Jacenko uploaded CCTV footage of a man pinching the plants about 3pm AEST on Friday, and asked her followers for help in identifying him so she could find her figs.

"Now. What the actual F¥&K," she captioned the post. "This bloke just stole my fiddle leaf figs whilst I was giving them some sun and water?! Know the culprit ? Comment below so I can go and collect them."

In another video Jacenko shared, she tells her 233,000 Instagram followers, "I'm absolutely disgusted to say that some pillock has stolen my fiddle leaf figs and left me with two f---ing leaves. $900 and he's picked them up and cleared off with them. I mean really. What's next? My doormat?"

Locals were quickly able to identify the man as an employee from a nearby store — with some of Jacenko's Instagram followers suggesting that he probably thought they were for verge collection.

In a final video shared to her account, Jacenko can be seen heading straight to the shop to find the plants.

"You took my plants," Roxy tells the man in the clip. "I know I'm so sorry," he replies, explaining that he thought they were free as they were "there for ages".

Thankfully, the plants are now safe and sound in their rightful home and order has been restored.
