Robert Irwin rumoured to be dating Glee actress Emmy Perry

It seems Robert Irwin may be dating long-time friend, actress Emmy Perry.

According to reports in Woman's Day magazine, the Wildlife Warrior has "gone public" with the former Glee actress, who is also a firm animal advocate. 

The magazine reports Irwin, 18, first met Perry, 17, back in 2019 at the Steve Irwin Gala Dinner in LA, which honoured his late father. Later that same year, the pair were reportedly photographed together at Disneyland.

In the years since, the rumoured couple have kept in touch and Perry reportedly visited Irwin in Queensland last month so they could spend time together at his family-run Australia on the Sunshine Coast.  

During her visit, Perry shared photos and videos of herself at the wildlife reserve, while also posting a video of them saving a turtle in the open sea. 

"So honored to have been a part of Turtelee McTurtle Face's return to his home after his lifesaving care at Australia Zoo Hospital. Happy trails sweet guy!💚🐢," she captioned the clip.

The rumoured relationship comes weeks after Irwin kindly turned down the advances of an American tourist, Megan Grass, who asked the teenager for his number when she visited Australia Zoo earlier this month, during which he politely refrained from giving it to her. 

Reflecting on the exchange on the Today show weeks later, Irwin said: "Honestly, that made my entire day. It was so kind, really meant the world."

"You know, it's harder … I can't go out and just give my number to everyone, unfortunately. It is hit and miss, you know," he told hosts Karl Stefanovic and Ally Langdon. "It was really kind. It went straight to my heart. It was something that meant the world."

Grass, who was visiting from Utah, told Today in a separate interview that she had nothing to lose when she shared the playful exchange on TikTok and it went viral.

"I think it definitely paid off because I got the opportunity to meet Robert, which is really cool," Grass said on the show. "I definitely was not expecting it to blow up the way it did but it was a really cool experience altogether and Robert was so sweet about it."

"I was a stranger who asked for his number and he didn't have to be polite about it but he definitely was," she said. "I just think he's a great guy altogether."
