Name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's second son revealed

The name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's second son has been revealed by news sources, soon after their first son's name was also revealed.

People, who claim to have obtained the birth certificate, share that the name of the new arrival is Riot Rose Mayers.

The baby was born on August 1 at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at 7:41 am, said the certificate.

The name is believed to go with the "R" theme that the parents are developing for the family. Rocky's real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, with their eldest son's name recently revealed to be RZA, named after the leader of the hip hop group, Wu Tang Clan. His name was revealed in May of this year, one whole year after his birth.

Their second baby also came soon after Rocky's latest single, RIOT (Rowdy Pipe'n), was released on July 20.

The 35-year-old spectacularly revealed the news of her second baby during her mammoth Super Bowl half-time show earlier this year where she unveiled her growing baby bump in a vivid red bodysuit.

After onlookers went wild with speculation over the reveal, a representative later confirmed that the singer was indeed pregnant.

Apparently, the naming process for baby number two began a long time ago, with Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty, revealing to Page Six that the new parents had considered "a few names" for their child.

At the time, he refused to divulge any of the potential names, joking, "She'll have my head if I tell you!"

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been linked professionally for close to a decade and were close friends before their relationship took a romantic turn in 2020.
