The longtime friends-turned-lovers recently announced they're expecting their first child together, the Fenty Beauty founder showcasing her baby bump publicly for the first time earlier this week.

Let's look back at the pair's relationship and where it all began.

2012: A$AP Rocky features on Rihanna's single, 'Cockiness (Love It)'. The song is about the singer declaring her desire for sex. It receives mixed reviews.

Following the song's release, they perform together at the MTV Video Music Awards.

2013: A$AP Rocky joins Rihanna's North American leg of her Diamonds World Tour. He performs as her opening act.

June 21, 2018: The two sit front row at a Louis Vuitton during Paris Fashion Week.

They are each in their own relationships — Rihanna is dating Hassan Jameel, while A$AP is rumoured to be linked to Kendall Jenner.

September 13, 2018: Rihanna invites A$AP Rocky to her fourth annual Diamond Ball — a charitable event that raises funds to the Clara Lionel Foundation.

He is seen wearing a black suit with diamond earrings.

September 12, 2019: Rocky attends Rihanna's Diamond Ball for the second time.

December 2, 2019: The friends walk the red carpet together at the British Fashion Awards in London, both wearing items from Rihanna's clothing line, Fenty. Rihanna wears a mint-green satin dress and accessorises with a matching wrap, gloves, and heels, while Rocky wears a black suit.

January 2020: Rihanna splits from her longtime partner Hassan Jameel.

Rumours the singer and A$AP are romantically linked begin to swirl, with sources claiming the pair "shared a hotel suite during that trip in New York," according to The Sun.

"However, Rihanna is reluctant to put a label on it as it's so soon after Hassan. They're really enjoying each other's company and taking things easy as it's still early days," an insider tells the publication.

"It's really casual between them and she's not thinking about whether there's a future with Rocky. She's a newly-single girl having fun."

Meanwhile, another source tells E! News Rihanna isn't looking for anything serious right now.

"Rihanna is single," they say. "She just got out of a long intense relationship with Hassan. She wants to be single and isn't going to jump into something. She's hanging out with A$AP Rocky, but she is not dating him."

August 26, 2020: The two collaborate to promote Rihanna's Fenty Skin line. A$AP is featured in promo shots for the new line, posing alongside Rihanna.

In videos shot for Vogue and GQ, Rihanna and A$AP talk about the new skincare range.

"Men love their skin, and they take care of it," Rihanna says. "But they feel obligated almost to only use products that are for men because anything beyond that feels too feminine, it's not for them, they're not allowed, they don't have permission."

"I had to discover face cleansing and skincare all at the same time when I was a young buck in the shower," A$AP adds. "You can't wash your body with the same rag you wash your face with. I was lucky enough to be the type of guy that wants to wash my face."

December 2020: Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are spotted at the Beatrice Inn in New York City with a group of friends.

Page Six reports the two have made their relationship official, while People claim a source has confirmed the romance.

December 2, 2020: The pair are spotted again, fuelling rumours they're in a serious relationship. The singer and rapper are snapped taking a walk at nighttime, in paparazzi photos published by TMZ.

December 9, 2020: Despite Rihanna and A$AP Rocky being tight-lipped on their relationship, the pair are "inseparable."

A source tells People the 'We Found Love' singer is "very happy dating A$AP."

"They've been inseparable the past few weeks. It's a new relationship, but they both seem very into it," the insider says.

"They've always seemed to have a great time together. They have a lot in common. ... They both are very much about helping out in the communities where they grew up.

"A$AP is generous, and so is Rihanna. A$AP is known for being a great guy."

The pair are still yet to address their relationship publicly.

December 24, 2020: A$AP joins Rihanna and her family in Barbados for Christmas.

"Rihanna has been in Barbados since [last] Thursday," a source tells People. "A$AP joined her and they are spending Christmas together with Rihanna's family."

The billionaire is later snapped getting cozy with A$AP while onboard a yacht.

April 12, 2021: The pair tease paparazzi and are snapped leaving restaurant Delilah in Los Angeles after a dinner date.

May 19, 2021: A$AP Rocky finally admits his feelings for Rihanna.

In an interview with GQ gushes over the 'Umbrella' singer, calling her "my lady" and "the love of my life".

A$AP acknowledges his past as a "shameless ladies' man", but when asked about his relationship with Rihanna, he responds, "So much better when you got the One."

"She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She's the One."

July 11, 2021: Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are seen filming a music video in the Bronx.

The couple opt for bold summer looks, the rapper donning a green fluffy hat while Rihanna rocks a bright pink fur coat and fluro yellow heels.

August 2021: According to People, the musicians are "crazy about each other".

They no signs of pulling back the brakes on their romance, with a source telling the publication they're looking at their relationship "for the long term".

"This romance evolved since they were friends first. They already knew and respected each other and it has just grown from there," another source reveals.

"They loved to laugh and have a blast together before they even dated. All of that makes for a solid romance now."

November 2021: Pregnancy rumours are sparked when Rihanna meets Prince Charles at an awards ceremony.

She is snapped covering her bump while wearing a tight-fitted dress to accept Barbados' National Hero award, after Barbados declares the 'Diamonds' singer a National Hero during the presidential inauguration ceremony in her hometown.

The beauty mogul denies the rumours.

January 2022: Rihanna and A$AP announce they're expecting their first child together.

The couple announce the news with a series of images taken during a stroll out in Harlem, New York City — A$AP's hometown.

In one, the couple has stopped walking and Rocky pulls Rihanna close and kisses her forehead.

February 2022: Rihanna shares an intimate photo of her baby bump, as well as the photos of her alongside A$AP in Harlem to her Instagram account.

According to People, the pair are excited about parenthood.

"She couldn't be happier and is so excited to be a mum," the source says. "She's loving all the changes to her body during pregnancy and has always celebrated pregnant women in her runway shows for Fenty."

"Everyone is happy it's all working out," another source tells the outlet. "They will be great parents."
