Rena Sofer and Sanford Booksaver re-tie the knot seven years after divorce

Actress Rena Sofer and her husband Sanford Bookstaver have tied the knot for the second time.

Sofer shared the news via Instagram, explaining that on what would have been their 21st wedding anniversary, the duo decided to say "I do" one more time.

"The journey we are about to begin is the most exciting adventure, in a new state and town, but most thrilling is that we get to do it together as husband and wife," she wrote alongside two adorable snaps from the wedding day.

"The three years we spent apart were humbling and heartbreaking but vital to us finding each other again. The love I have for you now is the foundation of my life."

The Bold and The Beautiful star went on to to explain that she simply didn't want to give up having Bookstaver in her life for the long run.

"I can't imagine another moment NOT walking through life with you hand in hand and our hearts entwined," she said. "You are the love of my life, and it's not "oops we did it again" but I'm so grateful we did it again!"

Bookstaver shared his own sweet message, commenting on the post, "I love you more than anything my wife!" As well as taking to his own Instagram page to share the news.

Alongside the same two images posted by Sofer, Bookstaver wrote, "We were divorced for a few years, spent time apart working on ourselves, and then came back together stronger than ever.

"I remarried my best friend and soulmate again! Life with you has never been better, and I'm the luckiest man alive to get to spend the rest of my life with you @rena.sofer."

The duo first tied the knot in 2003 before welcoming their daughter Avalon in 2005.

They decided to part ways in 2017, but just two years later Sofer took to Instagram to announce that they were engaged.

Now, seven years after finalising their divorce, Sofer and Bookstaver have found their way back to one another for good.
