Rebel Wilson squats 15kg wombat as she makes surprise Instagram return
Well, that was quick. Rebel Wilson has reappeared on Instagram one day after announcing she was taking a break from all social media. But in her defence, the content she posted was too cute to not share.
The Aussie star returned to the platform on June 30 to share footage of her outing at Sydney Zoo with her personal trainer, Jono Castano.
"Okay I am going off social media — like starting from now — but did have to show you guys stuff from my day @thesydneyzoo where @jonocastanoacero and I were the 'testers' for their new Meerkat Encounter and Red Panda Encounter — so much fun and cuteness! Thanks D for organizing," she captioned a series of happy snaps.
"Lovely day with @rebelwilson at @thesydneyzoo," Castano said over on his Instagram.
The duo encountered meerkats, red pandas and wombats — and at one point Wilson was filmed by Castano squatting with the beloved Aussie animal.
"15kg squats," she said on camera as the personal trainer set her target at 12 squats.

No rest for the wicked! In a previous interview with 9Honey Celebrity, Castano revealed that the duo worked out at least six days a week.
"We train pretty much every day together," he said, sharing that Wilson's workout regime is a six-day program that involves HIIT (high intensity interval training), weights and resistance training.
"It might seem like a lot, in terms of the number of days you have to train, but it doesn't need to be done at 100 per cent of your capacity. As long as you're getting your heart rate over a certain amount, that's high-intensity."
Wilson has been on a health kick since the start of the year. The Pitch Perfect star has dubbed 2020 the "Year of Health", overhauling her lifestyle in order to reach her 75kg goal weight.
"Even if you have to crawl towards your goals, keep going. It will be worth it. Try and give a little bit of effort each day... I know some days are frustrating as hell, you feel like giving up, you get annoyed at the lack of progress... but good things are coming your way," she told her Instagram followers last month.
"What are your goals this year? I'll be honest with you guys — with my 'Year of Health' mission I'm trying to get to 75kgs and, career-wise, am trying to get one of my movies into production before the end of the year! Both of these things are requiring a daily effort and there's constant setbacks — but I'm working hard x."
