Rapper Post Malone has taken to social media to publicly deny that his recent weight loss is a result of drug use.

Posting on Instagram while on his Twelve Carat Tour in Antwerp, Belgium, the performer posted a photo of him laying on bed on his stomach, posing next to a pair of camo-printed cowboy boots.

"hello everybody, i hope you're having a great night. i wanted to say that i'm not doing drugs, i've had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and i'd suppose, performance on stage," he clarified in the caption.

He shared the real, sweeter motivation instead, writing: "i'm having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier. i guess dad life kicked in and i decided to kick soda, and start eating better so i can be around for a long time for this little angel."

Malone welcomed a daughter with his fiancée in May 2022, though not much has been revealed about her.

He says he plans to kick "smokes and brews" next, but he likes to "consider (him)self a patient man… lol!"

He also said he has been spending time working on new music, thanking his fans for their patience.

"my brain is in a super dope place, and i'm the happiest i've been in a long time. if you're having a hard time or need some love, i can say that you're loved more than you know, and keep fucking crushing it," he wrote.

The 27-year-old was praised by fans for his confession, though some found it sad that he had to do so.

"What a shame it is that you have to explain this in the first place," said one.
