Pete Davidson reveals his approach to relationships amid reports he's dating Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor

Pete Davidson is dishing out some relationship advice!

The 27-year-old comedian — who is believed to be dating Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor — thinks honesty is the best policy in matters of the heart.

"I'm just very, very honest," the Saturday Night Live star said during an interview on The Breakfast Club on May 6. "I think what a lot of people do is they try to put on — not even their best self — but almost a version of themself that they would like to be. And eventually, that will unravel, you know?"

Davidson said he lays it all on the line when he starts dating someone new.

"Off the top, I'm like, 'Hey, I'm nuts. Here's all my issues. Here's what I do. Here's the therapists. This is what happens,'" the actor said. "And that can either be a lot for someone … or they could be like, 'Cool, that was really refreshingly honest.' Or sometimes it can be a little intense and weird and people can handle that stuff."

The comedian doesn't believe in "playing any of the games" and prioritises open communication with a partner.

"I think, like, that part of the relationship, it should be so easy," he said. "It should just be like, 'Hey, there's something wrong today,' [or] 'Hey, I'm really happy today.'"

Davidson has been in several high-profile relationships. He was previously engaged to Ariana Grande in 2018. He then dated Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley and Kaia Gerber. Multiple outlets have recently confirmed he's now dating Dynevor.

The new couple, who were first linked in March, have been spotted on multiple outings engaging in PDA.

People recently reported on April 23 that Davidson recently travelled to London to see Dynevor.

"Pete is telling friends he's serious about her," a source told the publication. The source added that the two are "really into each other" and that "Pete is telling friends he's serious about her."
